Rome, 5 August (LaPresse) – German football is in mourning: Frank Mill, world champion with Germany at the 1990 World Cup in Italy, has died at the age of 67. The news was reported by Bild. The former Borussia Dortmund and Fortuna Dusserdolf striker died of a heart attack. At the end of May, he had already suffered a similar illness after arriving at Malpensa airport for a documentary about Italy 90. On that occasion, paramedics arrived by helicopter and managed to resuscitate him after several minutes during which he remained unconscious. Recently, Bild reports, he had been treated in Essen. Mill leaves behind his wife Vanessa and two children, one of whom is adopted.
