Milan, 6 August. (LaPresse) – Italian national team coach Gennaro Gattuso's tour of Serie A teams' training camps stopped in Bologna today. He was welcomed at the Niccolò Galli sports centre in Casteldebole by coach Vincenzo Italiano, technical director Giovanni Sartori and sporting director Marco Di Vaio. Gattuso, accompanied by his assistants Luigi Riccio and Leonardo Bonucci, as well as delegation head Gianluigi Buffon, watched the training session, after which he met and greeted the players and chatted with the technical staff.With less than a month to go before the national team's first World Cup qualifier against Estonia on 5 September in Bergamo, the coach is stepping up his direct contact with top-flight coaches and players eligible for selection to check on their work over the summer and, above all, their fitness.After visiting Roma, Juventus, Inter and Cagliari in recent days, Gattuso will travel to Formello tomorrow to watch Lazio train. On 8 August, he will visit Sassuolo, while on Wednesday 13, he will first visit Udinese's training centre and then head to the Stadio Friuli in Udine in the evening for the UEFA Super Cup match between Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham.
