Milan, Aug. 6 (LaPresse) – The throwing of sex toys continues during WNBA games, the professional women's basketball league that also features Italian player Cecilia Zandalasini. The latest incident occurred during the game between the Indiana Fever and the Los Angeles Sparks, when one of these objects was thrown onto the court and landed near player Sophie Cunningham. The incident in Los Angeles occurred 2 minutes and 5 seconds before the end of the second quarter: the sex toy landed in the lane near Cunningham, who had publicly expressed her disappointment at such behavior by fans on social media. The Fever forward jumped back in surprise and then Kelsey Plum kicked the ball into the stands. “I think it's ridiculous, stupid, absurd,” said Sparks coach Lynne Roberts. “It's also dangerous, and player safety comes first. Respect the game. All of these things. I think it's really stupid,” she added.
