Rome, 9 August (LaPresse) – "I think my Porto will go down in history. My Chelsea, between 2004 and 2006, was the strongest team in the Premier League. Arsenal were unbeatable for one season, but we were unbeatable for two. Inter? They won everything. But Roma was an immense pleasure for me." Portuguese coach José Mourinho, in an interview with Futebol Total, looked back on his career and spoke once again about Roma. ‘I don't want to disrespect my boys by talking about omelettes without eggs, but winning the Conference League and reaching two consecutive European finals, with all our problems, the financial fair play restrictions and no possibility of signing players… well, you know. Roma is one of the best jobs of my career,’ he added. ‘I managed to unite a club that wasn't united, bring back many fans who had left, and turn the stadium into a sell-out venue. What I experienced there was something special, an experience that I will always carry in my heart,’ concluded the coach, who led Roma from the summer of 2021 to January 2024.
