Liverpool (United Kingdom), August 14 (LaPresse) – Liverpool manager Arne Slot confirmed the agreement reached with Parma for the signing of Giovanni Leoni. "The clubs have reached an agreement, but he hasn’t signed for us yet," Slot explained. "Once he signs, I’ll be able to give more details." The Dutch coach, however, declined to comment on Marc Guehi, another central defender (and England international) linked to the Reds. Regarding the feasibility of the deal, Slot was cautious: "He’s the captain of the team we unfortunately lost to on Sunday evening," referring to the defeat in the Community Shield against Crystal Palace. "If you want to talk about him, you should go to Palace and ask (coach Oliver) Glasner for his opinion," he concluded in his press conference ahead of the new Premier League season opener against Bournemouth.
