Rome, Aug 17 (LaPresse) – Carlos Alcaraz will face Jannik Sinner in the match for the 2025 Cincinnati Open title. The Spaniard reached his seventh consecutive ATP final after defeating a troubled Alexander Zverev 6-4, 6-3 in the semifinals. Alcaraz extended his winning streak in Masters 1000 events to 16 and secured his 38th victory in the last 40 matches. He will face Sinner for the fourth time this season and the 14th overall. In 2025, Alcaraz won against the world number one in the finals of the Italian Open and the French Open, the longest final in the tournament's history. Sinner got his revenge at Wimbledon, becoming the first Italian champion in the tournament's history. "I can't wait to play against Jannik again," said Alcaraz. "When we play, we both raise our level to the maximum and put on a really beautiful tennis show. I'm ready to review what didn't work in the last match and try to do better on Monday."
