Turin, Sept. 2 (LaPresse) – Jay Vine claimed his second stage win of this year's Vuelta a España, conquering stage 10 from Parque de la Naturaleza Sendaviva to the uphill finish at El Ferrial Larra Belagua. The Australian climber, already leader of the mountains classification, broke away from his rivals on the final ascent. Spain's Pablo Castrillo finished second, 35 seconds behind. Overall leader Torstein Traeen lost ground in the finale, surrendering the red jersey to Jonas Vingegaard (Team Visma Lease a Bike). Italian Giulio Ciccone came in sixth, staying with the GC contenders after an initial struggle. Felix Gall and Egan Bernal lost 26 and 37 seconds respectively. In the general classification, Vingegaard leads Traeen by 26 seconds and Joao Almeida by 38. Tomorrow's stage 11 will cover 157 hilly kilometers starting and finishing in Bilbao.
