Milan, 3 September (LaPresse) – Novak Djokovic defeated Taylor Fritz in the quarter-finals of the US Open with a 6-3, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 victory. Now awaiting him in the semi-final to be played on Friday is the number 2 in the rankings and on the scoreboard, Carlos Alcaraz. Djokovic won his eleventh match against the American, who reached the final on the New York hard court last year. The Serbian has thus reached his 53rd Grand Slam semi-final in his career.
