Rome, Sept. 12 (LaPresse) – "This will be the most challenging year. My experience tells me that," said Napoli coach Antonio Conte at a press conference on the eve of the away match against Fiorentina. "Many new players have arrived in an important city with high expectations due to last year's unexpected Scudetto, so there’s a lot of pressure even on players who need time and patience."
Conte added: "I have to improve these players as quickly as possible, and the core group’s support is essential. We’re in the second phase of the project, but we’re doing it with the Scudetto on our chest – that changes everything." He concluded: "This is the first real test. We’re about to play every three days, and it will definitely be a tough season. In the first two matches, we relied on our certainties, but now we need to integrate the new players. Mistakes may happen, and we’ll need patience and understanding."
