Las Vegas (Nevada, United States), 14 September (LaPresse/AP) – Terence Crawford makes history by ending Canelo Alvarez's reign in the super middleweight division. This world title adds to Crawford's welterweight and super lightweight titles. In the match in Las Vegas, in front of a crowd (70,482 people) almost entirely pro-Canelo, Crawford managed to snatch victory on points with a unanimous decision by the judges. ‘I know what I'm capable of,’ said Crawford. ‘It's no surprise. It's a surprise to all of you because you didn't believe in me,’ commented the boxer after the decision that handed him the belt.
