MotoGP, Marquez: ‘Sprint very difficult, but my goal is the World Championship’

Milan, 27 September (LaPresse) – ‘It was a very difficult sprint because I had to overtake two very tough riders like Mir and Acosta. I focused on maintaining a good pace.’ This is how Ducati rider Marc Marquez commented on his second place in the Sprint race at the Japanese Grand Prix. Tomorrow, however, the Spaniard could be crowned World Champion in the long race. ‘Everything will be different in the race; the goal for the weekend is different,’ he said. ‘I was a little tense, but I was more used to winning World Championships in previous years, and perhaps I was too conservative in the early laps. Tomorrow's goal is to win the World Championship; that's the priority,’ Marquez reiterated to Sky Sport.
