Rome, 26 October (LaPresse) – Torino came from behind to beat Genoa 2-1 in the Serie A match played at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on the eighth day of the season. The Ligurians took the lead through Thorsby in the 7th minute and came close to doubling their advantage through Malinovskyi, Thorsby and Ekhator. Torino struggled to find openings up front but broke the deadlock in the second half: in the 58th minute, they came close to equalising with a header from Maripan, then found the net thanks to an own goal by Sabelli in the 63rd minute, who beat Chè Adams to the ball and wrong-footed his goalkeeper Leali. Genoa had another chance with Thorsby, but Leali was the star of the show with two difficult saves. In the 90th minute, the Granata took the lead with Maripan taking advantage of a defensive lapse. Genoa did not give up and needed Paleari at his best to save the Granata's result. Torino thus secured their second consecutive victory and moved up to 11 points, level with Cremonese. The Rossoblù, still without a win, remain bottom with three points.
