World number one Carlos Alcaraz was eliminated in the second round, defeated in three sets with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 by Britain's Cameron Norrie after 2h25' of play. As a result of this result, Jannik Sinner could return to world number one next Monday if he wins the tournament.
