Rome, 20 Nov. (LaPresse) – In a statement, Napoli ‘expresses amazement and bewilderment at the indictment decided by the Preliminary Investigating Magistrate in Rome’ against Aurelio De Laurentiis in the capital gains case. "All the technical consultants, of the highest calibre, have unequivocally proven the correctness of the club's actions, both with regard to the recording of transactions in the financial statements and with regard to player transfers. The prosecution itself correctly acknowledged, during its closing arguments, that SSCN did not derive any advantage from the disputed transactions,‘ the Campania club continues. The club says it is ’calm and confident about the outcome of the legal proceedings, which will begin in over a year's time – with the first hearing set for 2 December 2026 – where the truth about the matter will certainly be re-established. It should also be noted that, in relation to a perfectly comparable dispute arising from the same investigation file, the Milan public prosecutors have already requested that the proceedings against Inter be dismissed."
