Milan, 16 December (LaPresse) – Five games were played last night in the NBA, with a couple of interesting matches, especially in the West. At Boston's TD Garden, the Detroit Pistons secured their fourth consecutive victory, beating the Celtics 112-105, led by a superb Cade Cunningham who scored 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Jaylen Brown's 34 points were not enough for the Celtics. The Toronto Raptors also won on the road, defeating Miami 106-96 thanks to Brandon Ingram's 28 points. Simone Fontecchio had a lacklustre performance, with 3 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 26 minutes on the court. In the West, there was a spectacular game in Salt Lake City, where the Utah Jazz beat the Dallas Mavericks 140-133 after overtime. The Jazz were led by Keyonte George's 37 points, while Dallas' 42 points from rookie Cooper Flagg, the youngest player ever to reach that score at 18 years of age, were not enough. Also in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Houston Rockets 128-125 after overtime thanks to a triple-double from Nikola Jokic with 39 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. Houston's triple-double from Sengun (33 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists) and Kevin Durant's 25 points were not enough. Finally, the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Los Angeles Clippers 121-103 thanks to Jaren Jackson Jr.'s 31 points and 5 blocks.
