Milan, 29 Dec. (LaPresse) – Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua was injured in a car accident in Nigeria in which two other people lost their lives. This was reported by several local media outlets in Nigeria, complete with a video posted on social media showing the boxer sitting in a wrecked vehicle surrounded by broken glass as he is rescued and then loaded into an ambulance. Joshua, 36, was a passenger in a Lexus Jeep that collided with a stationary lorry on the Lagos-Ibadan motorway. According to Joshua's entourage, who are not with him, the boxer is in good physical condition, having suffered only minor injuries, although they are awaiting further information. Joshua is fresh from his knockout victory over YouTuber Jake Paul in an exhibition match in Miami.
