Milan, 7 January (LaPresse) – Six games were played last night in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers secured their third consecutive victory, beating the New Orleans Pelicans 111-103 thanks to LeBron James' 30 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and Luka Doncic's 30 points and 10 assists. In New Orleans, Trey Murphy III's career-high 42 points were not enough. The San Antonio Spurs fell to the Memphis Grizzlies, who won 106-105 with a decisive basket by Cam Spencer. The player selected in the second round of the 2024 Draft was the best with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. The Spurs' 30 points from the returning Victor Wembanyama were not enough. The Minnesota Timberwolves won 122-94 against the Miami Heat with 26 points from Anthony Edwards. Without Donovan Mitchell, the Cleveland Cavaliers won 120-116 on the Indiana Pacers' court with 29 points from Darius Garland. In other games, the Washington Wizards beat the Orlando Magic 120-112 thanks to 27 points from CJ McCollum, and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Sacramento Kings 100-98 with 20 points from Cooper Flagg.
