Coral Gables (Florida, USA), 15 January (LaPresse) – FIFA says it has received over 500 million requests for tickets for the World Cup scheduled for this summer in the USA, Mexico and Canada. Outside the host countries, most of the requests come from Germany, England and Brazil. After criticism of the high ticket prices, FIFA has announced prices of $60 per ticket available through national federations. The most requested match in the final sales phase is Colombia vs. Portugal, scheduled for 27 June in Miami. FIFA plans to notify ticket applicants no earlier than 5 February, with random allocation for high-demand matches.
