Turin, 15 January (LaPresse) – Alvaro Arbeloa's debut on the Real Madrid bench ended in defeat. The Blancos lost 3-2 in a surprise defeat to Albacete, a team playing in the Spanish second division, in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey. After a back-and-forth first half with goals from Villar and Mastantuono, Betancor scored twice in the second half, including the winning goal in the 94th minute, paving the way for Albacete to advance to the quarter-finals. Garcia's goal in the 92nd minute to make it 2-2 was too little too late for the Casa Blanca.
