Milan, 19 Jan. (LaPresse) Senegal has won the Africa Cup of Nations for the second time. Pape Gueye scored the decisive goal in the 4th minute of extra time, allowing his team to beat hosts Morocco 1-0 in a chaotic final. In stoppage time at the end of the match, with the score at 0-0, the Senegalese players decided to leave the field in protest against a controversial penalty awarded to the hosts in the 97th minute. After a 14-minute suspension, the Senegalese goalkeeper saved Brahim Díaz's penalty kick, and immediately afterwards, the final whistle blew and the two teams went into extra time. Gueye then scored the goal that handed the trophy to Senegal.
