Rome, Jan 22 (LaPresse) – Seven NBA games were played overnight. An almost flawless performance by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (40 points, 11 assists, 7 rebounds, and 16/19 shooting) led the injury-hit Thunder to a convincing 122-102 victory on the road against Milwaukee. Carried by the MVP, Oklahoma City left the Bucks with no chance, despite Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 19 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists. Gilgeous-Alexander became only the second player in NBA history after Wilt Chamberlain to record at least 40 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds while shooting at least 80% from the field.

Boston also won comfortably over Indiana (119-104) despite Pascal Siakam’s 32 points and 10 rebounds. Five players scored in double figures, and Jaylen Brown had a standout night with 30 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Cleveland defeated Charlotte 94-87, led by Donovan Mitchell’s 24 points and Evan Mobley’s 14-point, 14-rebound double-double. New York dominated Brooklyn, achieving the largest margin of victory in franchise history, 120-66, with Jalen Brunson contributing 20 points and 5 assists. Brooklyn had a night to forget, shooting just 23/79 as a team.

Road victories also went to the Pistons and Raptors, who defeated New Orleans 112-104 and Sacramento 122-109, respectively. The Pistons notched their fourth consecutive win, led by Jalen Duren’s 20 points, 15 rebounds, and 2 blocks. The Pelicans could not rely on rookie Micah Peavy, who scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds off the bench. In Sacramento, the Kings resisted only for one half. Toronto changed pace in the second quarter, powered by Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram, who each scored 23 points.
