In the third round of the Melbourne Slam, the world number two beat American Eliot Spizzirri in a comeback three sets to one, winning with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. The match was affected by the intense heat in Melbourne, but also by cramps that could have cost Sinner dearly.
