Turin, 24 January (LaPresse) – Giovanni Franzoni's masterpiece in Kitzbühel: the Italian triumphs in the downhill in Austria, on the legendary Streif. Only three other Italians have achieved this before him: Ghedina, Fill and Paris. This is the second World Cup success for the 24-year-old from Lombardy, after his victory in the Super-G in Wengen. Second, just seven hundredths of a second behind, was Swiss champion Marco Odermatt, still without a win in Kitzbühel. Frenchman Muzaton completed the podium. Three other Italians finished in the top ten: Florian Schieder finished fourth, Dominik Paris seventh and Mattia Casse ninth.
