Milan, 25 January (LaPresse) – Edin Dzeko scored minutes after coming on as a substitute in his debut for Schalke, helping the team secure a 2-2 draw against Kaiserslautern in the German second division. The 39-year-old Dzeko joined Schalke on Thursday in a surprise move from Fiorentina. He appeared to be overshadowed by another substitute, Ivan Prtajin, who scored twice after coming on in the 61st minute for Kaiserslautern. But Dzeko made his eagerly awaited entrance in the 67th minute, narrowing the gap three minutes before the end of regulation time. Kenan Karaman then scored the equaliser in the last minute. More than 1,000 Schalke fans turned up to watch Dzeko train on Friday, when he also signed autographs and posed for selfies.
