Turin, 30 January (LaPresse) – The race jury has cancelled the downhill race in Crans Montana, the opening event of the stage in the Swiss resort, the last of the top circuit before the Olympic break. The race was suspended after six runs due to complicated conditions, both in terms of weather, with intensifying snowfall in the upper part of the course, and the snow cover, which caused difficulties for several athletes. The first men's trial is currently scheduled for 12 noon ahead of Sunday's downhill race, while tomorrow's women's super-G is scheduled for 11 a.m., preceded by the second men's trial.
