Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno), 6 February (LaPresse) – Sofia Goggia is the final torchbearer in the opening ceremony in Cortina for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Games. The champion from Bergamo received the torch from Gustav Thoeni, winner of four World Cups in the 1970s and Olympic gold medallist in the giant slalom at Sapporo in 1972, and lit the Olympic cauldron in Piazza Dibona, in the heart of the Queen of the Dolomites, the final act of the Olympic opening event.
