Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno), Feb. 8 (LaPresse) – “I am ashamed of those who are criticizing the Olympics and all the work that has been done to make them happen.” This was the statement by CONI President Luciano Buonfiglio while speaking at Casa Italia in Cortina, where he welcomed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini. “We are setting an example of what teamwork means. Since I was elected, I have tried to convey to the government that sport and CONI are winning partners and that together things can be done very well. And we are doing it,” he added. “Sport has never been supported like it is in this period. Milano-Cortina is the embodiment of all these values we promote, and here there is concreteness.”
