Djokovic to skip Doha ATP 500: Serbian “tired”

Turin, Feb. 11 (LaPresse) – Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the entry list of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, an ATP 500 event scheduled from February 16 to 21 at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha. The tournament features Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, who has never played in the event before, as well as Felix Auger-Aliassime (No. 6), Alexander Bublik (No. 10), Daniil Medvedev (No. 11), and defending champion Andrey Rublev (No. 15). Among the reasons given, organizers cited Djokovic’s “significant fatigue,” as the Serbian returned to No. 3 in the ATP rankings after reaching the Australian Open final—defeating Sinner in the semifinals before losing to Alcaraz.
