Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno), 12 February (LaPresse) – Italy wins another medal in luge at the Milan-Cortina Games. The Italian relay team, composed of Verena Hofer, the men's pair Emanuel Rieder and Simon Kainzwaldner, Dominik Fischnaller and the women's pair Andrea Voetter and Marion Oberhofer, finished third in the team relay, behind Germany, gold in 3'41‘672, and Austria, silver in 3'42’214. Italy, in the lead until Fischnaller's run, completed its race in 3'42"521.
