Cortina d'Ampezzo (Belluno), 16 February (LaPresse) – "Obviously, I didn't sleep much. I would have liked to tell you that I went out partying at Casa Austria, but I couldn't do it. I was exhausted. I retired to my room at the hotel with my friends, and this morning when I woke up, I thought, “How did all this happen?”. And I'm still wondering why and how." These were the words of two-time Olympic champion Federica Brignone, gold medallist in the Super-G and giant slalom, at a press conference at Casa Italia in Cortina. "I was sorry to hear that. I know what it means to get hurt, and I can say that. Everything she had put in place to make her comeback was certainly a huge adventure. She was brave and courageous to try. Sometimes I wonder if she was a bit crazy, but seeing what happened to me, I understand that she has a great passion for this sport," continued the champion from Valle d'Aosta, referring to Lindsey Vonn's injury.
