Milan, 21 February (LaPresse) – Everything is ready at the Ice Hockey Arena in Milan Santagiulia for the men's ice hockey final between the United States and Canada, the most eagerly awaited match that closes the Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games. US President Donald Trump will not be there, despite rumours in recent days that he might be a spectator. American star Dylan Larkin has been thinking about the Olympic gold medal match for a year. All his childhood dreams came true after he and his teammates lost to their rivals in the Four Nations final. ‘I've thought about it so much,’ Larkin said on the eve of the match. ‘It's what everyone wanted, this clash in a gold medal final. Yes, I've thought about it a lot,’ he added. Those thoughts became reality on Sunday, when the North American nations, the major powers in hockey, will face off in a titanic final of a “best-vs-best” tournament featuring many of the NHL's biggest stars. The clash between the United States and Canada on the biggest sporting stage should be an unmissable, exciting and adrenaline-fuelled event. ‘It's going to be a big game,’ said Canada's Tom Wilson.
