Turin, 13 March. (LaPresse) – Mercedes takes the top two spots in the sprint qualifying for the Chinese Formula 1 Grand Prix. George Russell set the fastest time of 1:31.520 ahead of his teammate Kimi Antonelli, who was second by 0.289 seconds but at risk of a penalty for obstructing Lando Norris' McLaren, which was third, six tenths behind his compatriot (+0.621). Lewis Hamilton's Ferrari follows in fourth place, 641 thousandths behind, while Charles Leclerc's other Ferrari is sixth, one second behind (+1.001). In between is Oscar Piastri's other McLaren in fifth place. Max Verstappen is only eighth with Red Bull.
