Milan, 15 March (LaPresse) – Italy has secured its 16th medal at the Milan-Cortina Paralympics: a gold won by Giacomo Bertagnolli (guided by Andrea Ravelli) in the alpine skiing slalom for the visually impaired, with a total time of 1:29.29. Silver went to Poland’s Michal Golas (guide Kasper Walas) at +0.27”, with bronze for Canada’s Kalle Ericsson (guide Sierra Smith) at +1.97”. For Italy, this is also the seventh gold medal in a historic edition of the Paralympics, smashing the previous record set at Lillehammer in 1994.
