Milan, 15 March (LaPresse) – Bologna beat Sassuolo 1–0 away in the Emilia derby on matchday 29 of Serie A. These are three precious points for Vincenzo Italiano’s side, who have bounced back from last week’s home defeat to Verona and now sit on 42 points in the table, nine points behind sixth place. It was a second consecutive defeat, however, for Fabio Grosso’s Neroverdi, who remain on 38 points and will visit Juventus next week. The visitors secured the win thanks to Dallinga’s goal, which came after just six minutes of play; the Dutch striker controlled a loose ball in the box and beat the opposing goalkeeper with a first-time volley. The pace was high with chances at both ends, particularly with Orsolini and Pinamonti in the thick of the action. In the second half, however, Bologna made the most of their superior technical ability and greater experience to control the match, effectively preventing Sassuolo from posing a threat to Skorupski’s goal.
