Turin, 28 March (LaPresse) – Tiger Woods is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in Florida. This was announced by the Martin County Sheriff. CNN reports the news. The golf champion was driving a Land Rover and collided with a pick-up truck towing a small trailer. The collision caused Woods’ vehicle to overturn onto its side. When the police arrived at the scene, the sheriff explained, Woods showed signs of being under the influence. The investigation revealed that the sportsman appeared to be driving erratically in the moments leading up to the accident. The sheriff added that Woods was not under the influence of alcohol. “Woods took a breathalyser test, which showed a reading of zero, but when we asked him for a urine sample, he refused, and for this reason he has been charged with drink-driving,” he stated. The sportsman was uninjured in the accident and was taken to prison, where, according to the law, he will be held for at least eight hours.
