And now the race for the national team manager’s job is officially underway, with betting analysts at Snai and Goldbet – as reported by Agipronews – predicting a tight head-to-head between Roberto Mancini and Antonio Conte, both priced between 3.50 and 4.50. Two big names and, above all, two former managers who performed very well in their first stints with the Azzurri, with ‘Mancio’ also having the huge merit of having led the national team to victory at Euro 2020. And then there are the top managers who might be tempted by the idea of a first stint as national team manager, all the more so if it’s with the Tricolore on their chest. Massimiliano Allegri fits the bill perfectly, so much so that he is considered an outsider at 7.50 to 1, followed closely by Simone Inzaghi, priced at 10.00. Alongside the more realistic names, there is no shortage of more exotic and intriguing options: José Mourinho in the Azzurri is offered at 50.00, whilst for Pep Guardiola the odds rise to 75.00.
