The Ligurian was eliminated by France’s Alexandre Muller (No. 94) with a score of 6-1, 6-7(4), 6-4. Prior to today, the two had faced each other twice in 2024. The Italian had won in three sets in the first round of Roland Garros, only to suffer a reverse in their opening match at the ATP 250 in Umag, also on clay.
