He and I have signed the players.” So said Claudio Ranieri, senior advisor to the Friedkins, speaking to DAZN ahead of the Roma v Pisa match. “We chose Gasperini for what he had done at Atalanta, starting with young players and gradually bringing them onto the big stage,” he added. “I stopped coaching precisely for this reason; it’s fine to lose a year to build a team, I’m happy to do it.”
