The second thing that strikes me as very important in the statement is that Roma comes first.” So said Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini on the eve of the match against Bologna, commenting on the club’s statement announcing Claudio Ranieri’s departure. “Was there anything that left me feeling particularly upset? No, I’ve never felt that way. It was a very tough, very intense situation, but there had never been anything like this before, absolutely not, neither in other meetings nor personally.
