MotoGP, Bagnaia: “Ducati in difficulty, but I arrive at Le Mans motivated”

Milan, May 7 (LaPresse) – “It’s quite a difficult moment for Ducati in general, which is certainly not working as we expected. Unfortunately, I’ve been in this situation for more than a year now, so I’m struggling quite a bit, and it’s strange because this year I feel better on the bike, I have more feeling especially with the front end, but I still can’t manage to do what I would like.” Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia said this speaking to Sky Sport ahead of the French MotoGP Grand Prix at Le Mans. “We have a bike that is quite nervous under braking. It was clear in my crash at Jerez, you have to be extremely precise because it tends to move around a lot and it’s no longer the Ducati where you brake very hard, enter very fast and stay there. A bit like Alex Marquez managed to make it work at Jerez,” he added, “he managed to do that. So it’s a complicated moment but, as I’ve said more than once, I’m a romantic and honestly I always believe in arriving at the Grand Prix and fighting at the front. I always believe in it, I know we have the potential to be up there and we just need to find the right balance.” Inevitably, there could be some discouragement. “From my point of view, no. I always arrive very motivated. Then of course, if you start a weekend and struggle a lot, you know you’ll have to work hard and it’s not easy, but honestly from my side, no,” he concluded.
