Turin, 10 May (LaPresse) – In the wake of the massive crash that marred the second stage of the Giro d'Italia, UAE Team Emirates has lost another rider. Following Jay Vine and Marc Soler, team captain Adam Yates has also been forced to withdraw: the British climber, who finished yesterday’s stage more than 13 minutes behind, is therefore bidding farewell to the Giro after just two stages, having sustained “severe abrasions and a laceration to his left ear”.
