Detroit (USA), May 14 (LaPresse) – The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Detroit Pistons 117-113 on the road after overtime in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, taking a 3-2 lead in the series. Detroit appeared to be in control of the game at 103-94 with three minutes remaining, but Cleveland closed out regulation with a 9-0 run, forcing overtime that ultimately proved fatal for Detroit. In overtime, Donovan Mitchell scored 7 of his 21 points, while James Harden led the Cavs with 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Cade Cunningham’s 39 points and 9 assists were not enough for Detroit.
