Milan, 4 June (LaPresse) – Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori have cemented their status as the world’s top mixed doubles pair. The Italian duo have won the Roland Garros title for the second year running, the second Grand Slam of 2026 (total prize money €61,723,000) held on the clay courts of Paris, beating the pair of Canadian Gabriella Dabrowski and American Evan King in the final in three sets with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 in the super tie-break. ‘Sarita’ and ‘Wave’ now have four Major trophies proudly displayed in their trophy cabinets: those won at the US Open in 2024 and 2025, and at Roland Garros in 2025 and again in 2026. Throughout their careers, the pair have also enjoyed great success individually: the 39-year-old from Massa Lombarda boasts six women’s doubles Grand Slam titles, the first five with Roberta Vinci and the most recent – Roland Garros 2025 – with Jasmine Paolini; the 31-year-old from Turin has reached three men’s doubles Grand Slam finals, all partnered with Simone Bolelli.
