With just a few days to go before the presidential elections, the current president – who has been in office continuously since 2009 – has announced his intention to make the most expensive signing in the club’s history. ‘Soon, on Tuesday, I will make an offer for a player from a club playing in the Champions League, worth at least €150 million, the highest spend ever made by Real,’ he promised. "It’s not Olise, Doku, Kane or Haaland. And he’s not coming from the Premier League. He’s a true ‘Galactico’.” These statements sparked an immediate reaction in Spain. According to the Spanish media, the player in question is a Paris Saint-Germain star, fresh from two consecutive Champions League triumphs. The names being mentioned are Vitinha or João Neves.
