F1, Leclerc disappointed: "I don’t have confidence in the car, like this it’s difficult"

Monte Carlo, June 6 (LaPresse) – "I had a specific problem that I’ve been dealing with since Canada, which I won’t go into detail about (brakes, ed.), and I’m really struggling. The solution exists, but for various reasons I didn’t want to try it, hoping to regain confidence here in Monaco." A disappointed Charles Leclerc said this after finishing fourth in qualifying for the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix. "It was a combination of things, there were 2-3 cars ahead and then it was the second lap on the tyre, and I tried to push more. It was going well, I’m giving everything, but if there’s no confidence in the car it’s too risky," added the Monegasque driver, referring to his final attempt that ended against the wall. "The race? I think it will be very difficult for us to reach the level of those ahead tomorrow, but I hope so. I’m not starting defeated, but in Monaco it’s always more difficult than elsewhere," he concluded.
