Frankfurt (Germany), Jan 7 (LaPresse) – The negotiations with the Övp will be a ‘trial by fire’. This was said by the leader of the Fpö, Herbert Kickl, at a press conference. On Monday, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen instructed Kickl to start talks on the formation of a new government after the failure of negotiations between the Övp, Spö and Neos. The Fpö leader emphasised the need for ‘stability’ and ‘partners acting consistently’. If this is not guaranteed, Kickl further stated, then ‘new elections can also be imagined’. ‘We need someone we can trust,’ Kickl said again, announcing that he would contact the new president of the Övp, Christian Stocker, to start the first talks.
