Ukraine, Tusk: ‘We will break the stalemate on Kiev's accession to the EU’

Warsaw (Poland), Jan 15 (LaPresse/AP) – Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has promised to use his country's presidency of the European Union to push Ukraine's accession process forward. ‘We will break the stalemate we are in’ and “accelerate the accession process,” Tusk said from Warsaw, alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky visited Poland today after the two countries reached an agreement on the exhumation of Polish victims of the massacres carried out during World War II by Ukrainian nationalists, which has always been a source of tension between the two countries.
