Middle East, Ben Gvir: "We will leave the government if the agreement is approved"

Tel Aviv, Jan. 16 (LaPresse) – Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir warned during a press conference that his party, the far-right Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power), will leave the governing coalition if the government led by Benjamin Netanyahu approves the ceasefire agreement with Hamas. This was reported by The Times of Israel. The minister emphasized that the deal would lead to the release of "hundreds of terrorist murderers" and allow "thousands of terrorists" to return to northern Gaza. Ben Gvir stated that with this agreement, Israel would end the war before achieving all its objectives, thereby discarding "all the achievements" gained from the conflict so far.
