Rome, Jan. 25 (LaPresse) – The fact that Giorgia Meloni was the only European leader invited to the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump "is good news for Italy, and perhaps through this privileged channel of dialogue, she may be useful to Europe. I hope she can also be helpful to Ukraine." This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Cecilia Sala for Il Foglio.
"Beyond the roles we hold, we are all people—Donald Trump, Giorgia Meloni, and I—and the human relationships we are able to build matter," he added. "I have a wonderful relationship with her; I consider her a loyal person and a friend. I know that Donald Trump has a good relationship with her and trusts her."
