Brussels, Jan 27 (LaPresse) – ‘The Russian threat may seem far away, but it is not so’. So says Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte at a press conference in Lisbon, Portugal, stressing that only yesterday ‘we saw another incident’ of damage to a submarine cable connecting Sweden and Latvia. ‘In order for Nato to remain strong we have to continue to adapt’ and “we have to increase our efforts and spend more on defence”, he added, recalling that “the 2% target will not be enough for the challenges of tomorrow”.
